Here are a few tips to help you get kick started into shredding some of those sneaky kilos you may have put on over the festive season.
- Fasted Cardio - Try to do your cardio training first thing in the morning BEFORE breakfast on an empty stomach. Cardio on an empty stomach digs into your fat stores for energy rather than using carbohydrates. If you opt to do a walk for your cardio option, then make it brisk, fast paced and no less than 45 mins
- Strength/Weight Training - this is a MUST! Do not be afraid of heavy weights - you will NOT get big and bulky girls! The more lean muscle you have, the more fat you are going to burn. You will get tight and toned and lean muscles - isn't that what most women want???
- Drink lots of water, get plenty of sleep and cut out processed food!!!
- Lastly - change up your exercise routine. Doing the same thing over and over again won't make changes to your body. Your body needs to be challenged and pushed harder to see changes. With weight training you are not going to see much results if you continue with the same exercises on the same weight. Mix things up and challenge yourself.
