So now we need to work out - “What exercise gives the best results, in the fastest time? OR for those less excited about exercise, “How little can I do and still look good and fit into my clothes?”
The BEST exercise is the one YOU like!! Pick an activity YOU enjoy. There is no point in your trainer or anyone for that matter telling you that you need to run to get the best results to burn calories and get fit - if you do not like to run, running is the worst exercise for you! You won't enjoy it and give up pretty quick.
If you are not a fan of long endurance events and don't have time to exercise for an hour - then a collection of short, fun, HIIT workouts are much better for you to fit into your schedule and therefore you won't make an excuse about not having 'time' when all you need is 15 mins to get puffed and get the benefits of heart pumping huffy puffy exercise into your day. If on the other hand you prefer long endurance workouts, then this is a perfect way to exercise for you.
Always ask a professional you TRUST if the exercises you are choosing are safe exercises. The latest fad is NOT always necessarily the best and/or safest exercise for you to be doing.
Ask yourself - Is it safe? Do you enjoy it? Does it fit in with your lifestyle?
Finally - As I've said time and time again, you must add strength-training to any exercise program: A stronger YOU means; you can go harder or longer, less chance of injury and disease and every bit of activity you do is easier.
To get strong you have to overload your muscles with weight. Your muscles will just get stronger when you make them lift more weight than the last time - which in turn then equals better results and a stronger, leaner, tighter YOU!
