This smoothie is so warming and delicious, you will be jumping out of your bed to make it. Full of fiber, healthy fats and antioxidants, it’s a great way to start your day on a chilly winters morning.
Cacao is used in this recipe and it isn’t considered a superfood for nothing! Studies have shown that cacao can increase energy levels, improve memory, and boost immunity. Not to mention it also contains anandamide which creates a feeling of euphoria (scientists call it the bliss molecule), as well as phenethylamine which acts as an aphrodisiac - ah yes, we will definitely be having some of that.
You will need:
1 cup unsweetened almond milk
1 tbsp cacao powder
1 tbsp chia seeds
1 ripe banana
1 tbsp flaxseeds
¼ tsp Cinnamon
¼ tsp fresh vanilla pod (i just used vanilla essence)
1 tbsp oats (you can use gluten free if need be)
Blend all the ingredients for two minutes and serve.
