I hope everyone is managing to get back into their health and fitness routine now that work is returning and things are getting back to normal.
Today's tip is for shopping at the supermarket - ways to stop those goodies and temptations from finding their way into your shopping trolley!
So it's pretty simple really - stick to the outside perimeter of the supermarket and avoid those middle aisles! The outside has your fruit and veggies, it has your meat, your dairy products, bread, eggs etc usually as well. So if you try to just keep your shopping to the outside of the supermarket and avoid the temptation aisles.
Now I know we need things like tea bags, coconut cream, rice or crackers etc, and we need toiletries and pet food and cleaning products - SO another trick is to leave your trolley at the end of the aisle - whip up, grab what you need and then return back to your trolley.
AVOID the aisles where the treat food is, chips, chocolate, lollies etc...
NEVER go shopping when you are hungry! This makes us buy things we don't really need.
Lately I've not been going to the supermarket at all and have been just buying from my fabulous local orchard (which also sells lovely deli type foods as well and meat etc). But I will obviously still need to go and get other staples from the supermarket.
I think you get my point though right! If the temptation is there to buy the CRAP and you don't really need too - just stick to the outside, make a mad dash for the other essentials and then bail!!
Makes it a bit more fun right? Happy Shopping!
